Desc. Mode

What is Description Mode?
Description mode or "Desc. mode" is a way to surf ChangingLINKS by viewing random descriptions. Viewers click descriptions written by web site owners. Desc. Mode helps web site owners get viewers that are insterested in their site's content.

How does it work?

When you fill out the form to add a link to ChangingLINKS, there is a field where you specify your description. While you can enter anything you like, most web site owners write a brief description or classified ad that contains keywords related to the page. To see Desc. mode, click here.
A few descriptions of member pages are randomly posted on a page that viewers can use to select pages that interest them. While the results are still random, it allows the viewer to have more control over what they see. Viewers can click a link to change the descriptions that are displayed.

There will always be more variety in Desc. mode.We show pages that don't regularly come up in the random display and the only sites filtered are those that pass Changebot's test, but fail human inspection. The page is put into the random display so that more viewers can use it. It is also available from most pages in ChangingLINKS.
